Personal Integrity

Personal Integrity, part of the Dean of Students office, helps students as they navigate through conflicts. Although conflicts are inevitable, conflicts are not always negative as proper conflict management can help grow and strengthen relationships. Personal Integrity can help students navigate conflicts in one-on-one meetings regarding:

  • Roommates
  • Friends
  • Groups
  • Members of the SRU community

Mediations

Members of Personal Integrity can host mediations where both parties involved in a conflict discuss their concerns along with strategies to move forward. As mediators, Personal Integrity remain a neutral party as all participants work toward solutions.

Students that live on-campus can connect with their CA involving roommate conflicts. Any student interested in a mediation that doesn’t live on-campus can go here to submit a Care referral. Please note that all parties involved in the conflict need to be SRU students for a member of Personal Integrity to mediate.

Group Gameplans

Group Gameplans are workshops helping student groups (teams, student organizations, Greek life, and more) evolve and grow. There are two different Group Gameplans available:

  • Expectations – The participating group cover what they expect out of each other, what they expect out of leadership, and what leadership expects out of the group.
  • Group Dynamics – The participating group learn about conflict, different conflict styles, and navigating tough conversations. The conversation then moves toward development, roles, motivation, and goals of the group to foster cohesiveness and success.
