Music Major for a Day

The Slippery Rock University Music Department and the Slippery Rock University Chapter of Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educators Association would like to invite any high school student to become a music major for a day. Enjoy some time at Slippery Rock University and see what a typical schedule is like for a music major. The day will include a mixture of classes, ensembles, and a chance to talk to students and faculty.

-7:30am-8:00am: Registration
-8:00am-8:15am: String Concert
-8:15am-9:15am: Welcome Meeting
-9:20am-10:50am: Observe Classes (Parent meeting)
-11:00am-11:30am: Music Major Q&A
-11:30am-12:30pm: Lunch at Boozel Dining Hall
-12:30pm-1:15pm: Meet with Applied Faculty
-1:30pm-2:00pm: Wind Ensemble performance
-2:00pm-3:00pm: Observe Ensembles 
-3:00pm-3:30pm: Chamber Singers Performance
*official end of MMFAD*
-optional ensemble observations (Women's choir, jazz bands, concert choir)
-7:30pm: Senior Percussionist recital

The date for the spring is March 26th, 2019.
