SRU’s doctoral degree in special education named one of the country’s most affordable

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University has been recognized as having one of the 20 most affordable online doctoral degrees in special education programs in the country by AffordableSchools.net.

SRU was ranked No. 7.

According to AffordableSchools.net, rankings were compiled using a number of factors including: accreditation, program reputation and the cost of tuition. The editors of AffordableSchools.net said that SRU is "one of the best values for a doctoral degree in special education."

SRU's doctor of education in special education includes special education, content learning and leadership classes designed to train professionals to enter public schools, agencies and non-profit organizations.

The 60-credit program can be completed in just three years.
