Two populations of Slippery Rock University students celebrated their graduation this week as a warm-up to this weekend's spring commencement ceremonies. SRU's Office of Global Engagement hosted Global Graduation, May 3 at the Smith Student Center, recognizing graduating international students and American students who have studied abroad in credit-bearing, long-term programs. SRU's Office for Inclusive Excellence hosted Multicultural Graduation Ceremony, May 5 in Miller Theater, recognizing the accomplishments of graduating SRU seniors who self-identified as multicultural, including those from the Black, Latino, multiracial and LGBTQIA communities. Seniors received stoles that they will wear at the spring commencement ceremony, May. 6-7, at SRU's Morrow Field House.
