SRU to host “Nonprofit Bootcamp” June 8

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University and The Alliance for Nonprofit Resources will host a "Nonprofit Bootcamp" from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., June 8 in the Advanced Technology and Science Hall.

The event will cover a variety of topics, including: fundraising, human resources, board governance, marketing, management and nonprofit start-up.

Kate Dewey, senior adviser for nonprofit and tax exempt organizations at Cohen & Grigsby, will deliver the keynote address. Dewey has more than 40 years of experience with nonprofit organizations, foundations, public agencies and corporations at the local, state and national level.

The event will also feature a panel discussion with Dewey; Michael Robb, executive director for the ANR; and Alice Del Vecchio, SRU assistant professor of interdisciplinary programs.

Registration for the event is $50 per person, with a $5 discount for multiple attendees from the same agency. For additional information or to register.
