SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — If you're a fan of Slippery Rock University, every day is a good day to show your Rock Pride by wearing green and white. However, Aug. 30 is your opportunity to join more than 195 million college fans nationwide who will be representing their schools in recognition of College Colors Day.

SRU fans are encouraged to wear Rock apparel and share photos on social media using the hashtag #CollegeColorsDay. This year marks the 15th year of the College Colors campaign, which was created by the Collegiate Licensing Company, a combined organization of IMG College Licensing and Learfield Licensing Partners.

The theme for this year's event is "College Colors Never Fade," which, according to organizers, "promotes the differentiating part of college and the staying power of college football." This year marks the 150th anniversary of college football.

More than 150 schools participated in last year's College Colors Day, resulting in more than 191 million social media impressions and 192 broadcast placements.
