SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — The Slippery Rock University Dance Department will present its Fresh Moves Showcase, 7:30 p.m., Dec. 2, and 2 p.m., Dec. 3, in the Stoner West Dance Studio Theater. This concert will feature dances representing a variety of genres choreographed by SRU dance students. Cost is $10 for general admission and tickets can be purchased online at sru.edu/tickets.

"This concert is always a treat," said Lindsay Viatori, associate professor of dance and the concert's artistic director. "It is the first concert of the year that highlights our dance majors' choreographic research that they have been working on since August. It's always exciting to see their diverse creative ideas."

Featured performances will include the classical Indian dance style Bharatanatyam by SRU students from the Dances of Selected Culture class taught by Jaya Mani, SRU instructor of dance, as well as a dance first choreographed in 1936 by dance pioneer Martha Graham.
