Becky Thomas, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of parks, conservation and recreational therapy, co-authored a chapter in a special issue of Society & Natural Resources, the official journal of the International Association for Society and Natural Resources.

Thomas' chapter, titled "Evaluating the Process and Outcomes of Collaborative Conservation: Tools, Techniques, and Strategies," introduces the journal's special issue about collaborative conservation evaluation, which describes research and evaluation for natural resource management projects that use a participatory approach among researchers, practitioners and other stakeholders. Thomas co-authored the chapter with Arren Mendezona Allegretti, an independent research consultant.
