Beth Wittenberg, a Slippery Rock University graduate, is exhibiting her soft sculpture creations, known as "whimzees," at the Rumpus 2018 egalitarian art show in Biddeford, Maine, through April 5.

Wittenberg, a resident of Rochester, New Hampshire, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from SRU in 1988 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in art in 1991. Since she was an SRU student, Wittenberg has been creating whimzees, hand-stitched art dolls which take anywhere from 6-12 hours to complete.

The exhibit is housed and sponsored by Engine, a nonprofit organization in Biddeford that advances arts, design, education and creative entrepreneurialism in the community. Engine is located at 128 Main Street in Biddeford and hours are Wednesday-Friday from 1-6 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
