Braham qualifies for IHSA Nationals

Aubrey Braham, a Slippery Rock University senior mathematics major from Grove City, has qualified for the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championships, May 2-5, at the New York State Fairground Expo Center in Syracuse, New York.

Braham, a member of the Western-style Equestrian Club Team at SRU, was the Reserve Champion in open reigning at the IHSA Western Semifinals in Logan, Utah, last month. She was also the High Point Rider for IHSA Zone 2, Region 5 for a second straight season.

Eight members of the SRU club team qualified for the regional finals and four advanced to the semifinals in Utah. More than 8,500 riders from more than 400 teams compete in the IHSA. Western-style competitors compete in five levels of Western Horsemanship based on the rider's experience, as well as the reining category.
