Wukich receives NCECA Outstanding Achievement Award

Richard Wukich, a retired Slippery Rock University professor of art and former University trustee, was recently honored by the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts with the 2019 Outstanding Achievement Award.

Wukich was recognized at the annual NCECA conference for his contributions and achievements that include the support of educator initiatives through the National K-12 Ceramics Exhibition Foundation and as founder of the Potters Water Action Group, an organization with global chapters that provide safe drinking water through the use of ceramic filters.

Founded in 1966, NCECA is a nonprofit educational organization that provides resources that support individuals, schools and organizations with a passion for the ceramic arts.
