Heather Frederick, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of political science, was re-elected to the executive board of the Northeast Association of Pre-Law Advisors.

NAPLA is the oldest and largest regional prelaw advising association. Founded in 1973, NAPLA has more than 400 members, including undergraduate prelaw advisers from colleges in the northeast and throughout the nation, along with representatives from law schools across the country. NAPLA advocates for prelaw students and institutions in the counseling and admissions process leading to law-related careers.

Frederick, who is the coordinator of SRU's prelaw program, has been a member of NAPLA since 2011 and a board member since 2018.
