Smeak’s journal article recognized by ASSP

Rona Smeak, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of safety management, was recognized by the American Society of Safety Professionals for authoring one of the top three articles in 2020 published by the ASSP’s refereed safety journal, Professional Safety. Smeak’s article, titled "Safety in the Multi-Generational Workplace,” placed third in ASSP’s Article of the Year competition.

Professional Safety is read by nearly 40,000 subscribers. The ASSP is a global association for occupational safety and health professionals that supports their efforts to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses and fatalities by providing education, advocacy, standards development and a professional community to its members.
