Nitin Sukhija, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of computer science, was named a 2020-21 XSEDE Campus Champion Fellow. Sukhija is one of six Campus Champion Fellows this year selected to work side-by-side with XSEDE staff and research teams to solve real-world science and engineering projects.

Sukhija will work on a year-long project titled “Estimating Dynamic Models of the Firm” with a couple of computational economists to investigate and implement scalable models for monetary policy transmission and international finance and growth.

Fellows are selected from the community of more than 600 Campus Champions at various colleges and universities. XSEDE, which stands for Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment, is a virtual organization funded by the National Science Foundation that integrates and coordinates the sharing of advanced digital services, including supercomputers and high-end visualization and data analysis resources, with national researchers to support science.
