Yamamoto co-hosts session at PSMLA conference

Junko Yamamoto, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of secondary education and foundations of education, co-hosted a session at the 2021 Pennsylvania State Modern Language Association Conference that addressed the teacher shortage in the area of world languages.

Yamamoto’s session, titled “University K-12 Collaboration: Promoting Language and Teacher Education Together,” was conducted with Christina Huhn, associate professor of Spanish at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The virtual conference was attended by college and K-12 world language educators and teacher educators.

PSMLA is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to the teaching and learning of languages and cultures from kindergarten through university levels.
