Two Slippery Rock University faculty members recently presented financial literacy concepts to students at Slippery Rock Area High School as part of a career day for high school seniors.

Diane Galbraith, professor of management and marketing, and Melanie Anderson, professor of accounting, economics and finance, taught nearly 90 students fundamental financial life skills, including calculating their annual, weekly and hourly pay; understanding the taxes deducted from their pay; budgeting; managing car loans; smart credit card usage; and saving for retirement.
