Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Certificate)

About Our Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certificate

Boost your clinical skillset with SRU’s Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Certificate. Backed by strong evidence-based research, CBT is one of the most effective tools for improving mental health—and demand for trained practitioners continues to grow.

Through focused, practical instruction, you’ll learn how to apply CBT techniques to help clients build coping strategies and address real-life challenges. If you choose to pursue your MSW, these courses can count toward the degree requirements.

Why Get a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certificate?

  • Apply what you learn by using CBT techniques with real client scenarios.
  • Learn from the best with expert faculty who hold doctoral degrees and clinical experience.
  • Build hands-on skills by developing and delivering CBT interventions in practical settings.
  • Earn the certificate alongside your MSW to deepen your expertise while working toward your degree.
  • Enhance your practice whether you're an MSW student or a professional with a graduate degree in human services looking to expand your CBT toolkit.
