The Middle Level Education: Science program will at SRU will prepare you to teach science to students in grades 4-8. Through this program, you'll also be qualified to teach English language arts, social studies, mathematics, and science in grades 4-6.

What Will You Learn?
In the Middle Level Education: Science program at SRU, you'll take core courses in professional education, such as middle level cognitive development, teaching in the middle level grades, and teaching science in middle school. You'll also take science specialization courses in areas like:

Careers In Middle Level Education: Science
As a graduate of this program, you'll be qualified to teach science to middle school students grades 4-8 in Pennsylvania and in other states. As you begin your teaching career, the SRU Office of Career Education and Development will help you create a resume or Curriculum Vita (CV), prepare for job interviews, and secure Employment. Pennsylvania's teacher certification is met by successful completion of the Praxis Exam, a Criminal Background Check, and field and student teaching experiences.
