Counseling and Development Programs

(Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Student Affairs in Higher Education, and Student Affairs in Higher Education with College Counseling)

• GRE or MAT scores are required for applicants whose cumulative GPA is below 3.0 (or equivalent).

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Official GMAT scores of 450 or higher may be required for applicants with a cumulative GPA below 3.0 unless the applicant has one of the following:

• Sufficient professional work experience as determined by the admissions committee
• An earned terminal degree or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution
• A business or business-related degree from a regionally accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or higher

If testing is required, applicants should complete the exam early enough to allow sufficient time for admission decisions. Official scores must be sent directly from the testing organization to the Slippery Rock University Graduate Admissions Office.

Both the GRE and GMAT are offered year-round.
