Non-Resident Tuition Reduction:
SRU is pleased to offer a tuition reduction for eligible out-of-state undergraduate students, who pay only 150% of in-state tuition cost. Students who are ineligible for the tuition reduction at the time of admission can become eligible in subsequent academic years if they meet all eligibility requirements as detailed below.
Eligibility Requirements
- First-Year Students: 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA on their official high school transcript
- Transfer Students: 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA with 12 or more credit hours earned on all post-secondary coursework
- Continuing SRU Students: must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA at SRU (eligibility determined by the Office of Student Accounts)
No separate application is required. Eligibility for continuing SRU students is determined annually through the Office of Student Accounts based upon a student's academic record at SRU. Eligibility for new first-year, transfer, and readmitted students is determined by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Initial eligibility is determined after the Spring Semester for the next academic year. Final eligibility is determined immediately prior to the start of the Fall Semester and will include any coursework taken in the Summer Term.
