Dr. Jessica Kamerer, EdD, MSN, RNC-NIC is an Associate Professor and Director of Nursing Programs with over two decades of healthcare experience. She began her career as an EMT in 2000 and became a registered nurse in 2005, earning her BSN from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, MSN from Walden University, and EdD in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
Certified in Neonatal Intensive Care (RNC-NIC), Dr. Kamerer has practiced in a variety of specialties including emergency medicine, community health, mental health, high-risk obstetrics, and neonatal intensive care.
Since 2008, she has worked in higher and corporate education, with experience teaching in clinical, classroom, online, hybrid, and simulation-based environments. She is trained and certified various areas such as inclusive leadership, online instruction, and simulation pedagogy. She has helped shape nursing, healthcare, and leadership education across multiple sectors.
A published author and international presenter, her research explores simulation-based learning, interprofessional collaboration, transcultural nursing, cultural humility, women in leadership, and cybersecurity in healthcare.
