The psychology department programs provide students with an excellent education in human behavior, with an emphasis on research evidence and methods. Course offerings allow students to specialize for diverse career pathways in non-profit organizations, social services, counseling, criminal justice, business, education, law, medicine, research and psychology. Faculty advisors can help students select the courses based on their career goals.

SRU Psychology students learn a range of skills that make them career ready, which are continuously enhanced through activities inside and outside of the classroom. Students who want all of the opportunities without sacrificing personal attention seek our department. As we work to enhance the personal, academic, and professional growth of all of our students, our graduates further promote the well being of others in their schools, communities, and hospitals.

Students in the Psychology program can work toward either a BS or BA in Psychology, or a Minor in Psychology.
