Accounting (BSBA)

About the BSBA in Accounting

Invest in your future by completing your four-year degree online and earn a BSBA (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration) with an Accounting major. The SRU BSBA program is accredited by AACSB International.

Admissions Requirements for the Online Accounting Program

To be considered for admission to the online Accounting Program:

Students should hold an associate degree in business administration, or a minimum of 30 credits, from an SRU-recognized accredited program, which must include competency in mathematics, English writing, and computer applications. Recognition of the program and eligibility for program admission is determined by the Transfer Admissions office.
Students must have earned a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher from all post-secondary institutions attended.
Student must be in good academic standing at the most recent institution attended.

Why a BS in Health Care Administration and Management (HCAM)

If you want to become a leader in America's largest and fastest growing industry, the HCAM degree is perfect for you. HCAM is also perfect for those who are currently a clinical professional (physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, therapists, technicians, and other medical professionals) who wish to purse leadership roles within their disciplines. As the US population ages and the number of Americans with access to health care expands, the demand for professionals in the health care industry increases. Health care administrators and managers work with doctors, nurses and other health service professionals to enable the health care system to run smoothly and efficiently. With a degree in HCAM you will open a variety of professional opportunities.

As an HCAM major at SRU, you will gain a comprehensive education in health care delivery and insurance systems from industry-experienced faculty. You will learn about leadership, health care ethics, legal and regulatory environments, healthcare information systems, healthcare economics, and the foundations of health services research.

Admissions Requirements for the Online Health Care Administration and Management Program

To be considered for admission to this program, students must have completed a minimum of 45 college-level credits from an SRU-recognized accredited program, which must include the equivalent of the following SRU courses:

English Writing Proficiency: Students must transfer the equivalency of SRU’s ENGL 102 Critical Writing course
Math Proficiency: Students must transfer the equivalency of a college-level mathematics course
Computer Competency: Students must transfer the equivalency of SRU’s CPSC 110 – Computer Concepts
GPA Requirement: Students must have earned a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher from all post-secondary institutions attended
A sufficient number of general education courses, as determined by Transfer Admissions
Students must be in good academic standing at most recent institution

Leadership Studies (Interdisciplinary BS)

About the Interdisciplinary BS in Leadership Studies

It's time that YOU take the lead! Invest in your future by completing an online degree-completion program in Leadership Studies at SRU.

The Leadership Studies program provides a strong foundation of coursework that prepares you to work and excel in any employment sector. All employers, regardless of sector, are interested in hiring and promoting employees who have the ability to;

manage time and proficiently organize the work environment
professionally communicate verbally and in writing

The Leadership Studies program builds on your proven ability to be successful in college coursework, requiring the completion of an associated degree or the equivalent. The 42 credit hours of major required coursework may be completed in as little as six semesters.

To be considered for admission to this program, students must hold an associate degree from an SRU-recognized accredited program, which must include the equivalent of the following SRU courses:

English Writing Proficiency: Students must transfer the equivalency of SRU's ENGL 102 - Critical Writing course,
Math Proficiency: Students must transfer the equivalency of SRU's ACSD 110 - Beginning Algebra, or a higher level Math,

Student must be in good academic standing at most recent institution attended.

Students, who do not hold a recognized associate degree but have earned 60 or more college credits including sufficient general education coursework, may be considered for the program. Recognition of the program and eligibility for program admission is determined by the Transfer Admissions office.

About the online BS in Interdisciplinary Programs: Concentration in Liberal Arts major

This online academic major, housed in the Interdisciplinary Programs Department, allows you the opportunity to work with a faculty advisor to create an individualized program that makes best use of your already earned credits, while striving to facilitate your unique interests and goals.

Admissions Requirements for the online Liberal Arts program

To be considered for admission to this program, students must hold an associate degree from an SRU-recognized accredited program, which must include the equivalent of the following SRU courses:

English Writing Proficiency: Students must transfer the equivalency of SRU's ENGL 102 - Critical Writing course,
Math Proficiency: Students must transfer the equivalency of SRU's ACSD 110 - Beginning Algebra, or a higher level Math,
Computer Competency: Students must transfer the equivalency of SRU's CPSC 110 - Computer Concepts,
GPA Requirement: Students must have earned a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher from all post-secondary institutions attended.
Student must be in good academic standing at most recent institution attended.

Students, who do not hold a recognized associate degree but have earned 60 or more college credits including sufficient general education coursework (27-30 credits,) may be considered for the program. Recognition of the program and eligibility for program admission is determined by the Transfer Admissions office.

Nursing (BSN)

About the Bachelor of Science in Nursing

One of the earliest online nursing programs in a traditional regionally accredited university, the Department of Nursing offers a quality education at an affordable price.

Courses are offered in two, 8-Week Sessions each semester, to afford students maximum flexibility in progressing through the program. This scheduling enables RN students, who are working full-time, to focus on one course at a time within the traditional semester. Alternatively, a student with a part-time work schedule may choose to accelerate their progression by taking three or more courses per traditional semester.

Admissions Requirements

To be considered for the online RN to BSN program:

Students must hold an RN associate or diploma degree in Nursing
Student must hold a valid unencumbered RN license
Students must have completed 63 or more credits
Students must have a 2.0 or higher RN degree GPA
Students must be in good academic standing at the most recent institution attended
