Lifelong Wellness through Innovative Leadership (M.S.)

About Our Lifelong Wellness through Innovative Leadership Program

Slippery Rock University’s M.S. in Lifelong Wellness through Innovative Leadership empowers educators and professionals to lead wellness-focused change across schools, communities, and organizations. This fully online program emphasizes practical, innovative strategies to support physical and holistic well-being across the lifespan. Choose from two specialized tracks, Adapted Physical Activity or School Wellness Education, and prepare to make a lasting impact on the lives of those you serve.

The Adapted Physical Activity (APA) concentration is for professionals who want to lead programs that improve the physical activity and wellbeing of individuals with disabilities. Graduates are prepared for rewarding careers as adapted physical education specialists, in advanced recreation therapy roles, and at community agencies.

The School Wellness Education (SWE) concentration is for health and physical education teachers who want to shift from a traditional PE model to a modern wellness approach. Focusing on personalized learning and educational technology, this program helps you update your K-12 curriculum to align with national standards from SHAPE America and the CDC.
