Slippery Rock University's Master of Public Health (MPH) program is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). This is the gold standard for public health education, which means our curriculum has been thoroughly reviewed and meets the highest national standards for quality. Graduating from a CEPH-accredited program ensures you're eligible to sit for the Certified in Public Health (CPH) exam and qualifies you for jobs in many federal agencies and state health departments.

All applicants must submit the following materials along with a completed online graduate application and non-refundable application fee:

  • All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better, prior to submission of application
  • Official undergraduate degree transcript(s) and any graduate transcripts
  • A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA in an undergraduate major
  • Previous completion of a statistics course and either one social science or one natural science course
  • Personal statement indicating career goals and personal philosophy related to interest in Public Health
  • One electronic recommendation form that addresses the applicant’s capacity for graduate level work
