About Our Technology for Online Instruction Program

Slippery Rock University’s M.Ed. in Technology for Online Instruction is designed for educators, trainers, and professionals who want to build expertise in creating effective online learning environments. This fully online program focuses on using web-based tools and research-backed strategies to design engaging, student-centered instruction. As schools and organizations continue to expand online learning, you’ll gain the skills to stay ahead of the curve. The program culminates in a capstone project where you’ll create a complete online module including lessons, assessments, and both synchronous and asynchronous components. Already completed SRU’s Teaching Online Certificate? All coursework transfers directly into the master’s degree, making it easy to continue your path forward.

  • Official Transcripts - Undergraduate/Graduate (Official transcripts must be sent by the institution via electronic transcript e-share to graduate.admissions@sru.edu or via mail. Faxed copies will not be considered official).
  • SRU current/Alumni/former students, click here to order your official SRU final transcript and have it sent to graduate.admissions@sru.edu.
  • A minimum of a 2.75 cumulative GPA in an undergraduate major.
