About the Pre-Health Professions Program

Slippery Rock University's Pre-Health Professions program is a dedicated advising track—not a single major—designed to give you a competitive edge when applying to graduate health programs. You can build a strong scientific foundation in a major that fits your interests, such as Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, or Exercise Science. Our program is distinguished by its extensive network of articulation agreements and accelerated pathways with professional schools like LECOM, Duquesne University, and WVU. These partnerships provide streamlined admission and often shorten the time it takes to earn your professional degree in fields like medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, chiropractic, and physician assistant studies, giving you a clear and efficient route to your dream career in healthcare.
