Undergraduate Open House
Open Houses are SRU's most comprehensive visit which provides prospective first-year and transfer students the opportunity to discover everything that Slippery Rock University has to offer regarding academic majors, support services, campus involvement, financial aid, and more!

Tentative Open House Agenda
Location: Robert M. Smith Student Center
8:00 - 10:00 a.m. Check-in
8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Session for those interested in learning about SRU's pre-professional areas
This includes pre-athletic training, pre-chiropractic, pre-dentistry, pre-medicine, pre-occupational therapy, pre-optometry, pre-osteopathic medicine, pre-physician assistant, pre-pharmacy, pre-physical therapy, pre-podiatry, and pre-veterinary.
9:00 - 10:15 a.m. Academic Fair
You'll have the opportunity to speak with representatives from all of SRU's academic departments and various campus resources. For those attending the optional sessions, you'll have time to participate too!
9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Make the Most of Your Transfer to SRU
Transfer counselors will present transfer policies and review admissions credentials during this informative overview and answer your questions about timelines, credit evaluation and academic program requirements.
10:15 - 10:30 a.m. Welcome to SRU and Admission Overview
10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Academic Breakout Sessions
Choose a major that you are most interested in and meet with a professor from that academic department in a smaller group setting.
11:45 - 1:00 p.m. Campus Tours and Lunch
Full campus tours will be offered. You will have the opportunity to view a residential suite (private bathroom in room) and a traditional hall (communal bathroom).
*Please note coaches are not a part of this event and prospective student-athletes should fill out a prospective student-athlete questionnaire to make contact with an SRU coach at www.rockathletics.com
**If you would like to request a special accommodation for your tour, for example the use of a wheelchair, please let us know prior to your visit so that we may prepare. Please understand, our student tour guides are not available to assist persons in wheelchairs with moving through the campus tour.
