Housing
On-campus housing at Slippery Rock University provides a fun, friendly and safe living environment. You know your neighbors, it's easy to get around and feel comfortable in your surroundings. Whether you're from a big city or a small town, living on SRU’s campus offers a close-knit community that feels like home.
Housing Applications
Please check your SRU email regularly regarding your student housing. The MyHousing Portal is used to confirm your room, select meal plans, and find contact information regarding your roommate(s).
INCOMING FRESHMEN
Incoming freshmen who have submitted the $90 enrollment deposit to admissions will receive information regarding on-campus housing for fall 2023 beginning October 31. Every Monday, emails will be sent to those students who submitted their enrollment fee that prior week. Please get in the habit of checking your SRU email. We will send a copy to your personal email initially. Once you receive that email with specific housing information, you will be directed to log into the MyHousing Portal. Under the application tab, select "New Students" under the Application/Agreement tab. New students admitted starting fall 2023 are generally required to reside on campus for two years. Refer to the Residence Requirement tab.
TRANSFER STUDENTS
For Fall 2023-Spring 2024, transfer students will also be required to reside on campus for two year unless they have earned 60 or more college credits at their previous college/university. (Refer to Residence Requirement). Information will be emailed every Monday beginning on October 31. Students should expect to have a suitemate/roommate, and can select a suitemates/roommate as part of the agreement process if all parties involved do things in a timely manner.
