Occupational Therapy (O.T.D.)

About Our Occupational Therapy Program

Slippery Rock University’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy program offers a dynamic, 32-month curriculum grounded in evidence-based practice and designed to build leadership, collaboration, and real-world clinical expertise. You’ll spend the first 20 months in on-campus, hands-on instruction in modern labs and classrooms, followed by two 12-week fieldwork placements in diverse healthcare and educational settings. The program culminates in a 14-week doctoral capstone, where you’ll design and present a project that aligns your professional interests with a community need. Fully accredited by ACOTE®, SRU’s OTD program prepares you to lead in today’s evolving occupational therapy field.
