Accounting Department Scholarship

Accounting majors with a minimum of 64 credits, including completion of Intermediate Accounting I are encouraged to apply. Applicant must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The applicant must attach a current MyRockAudit page showing the applicant's name and GPA. By submitting the application, the applicant agrees that, if awarded a scholarship, (s)he will write a thank-you to the scholarship's sponsor. Accounting Scholarship Application is currently closed.

Philip J. Kennedy Scholarship

Accounting majors with a minimum of 64 credits, including completion of Intermediate Accounting I are encouraged to apply. Applicant must be in good academic standing and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. The Ken Winterhalter '86 Finance Scholarship

This scholarship is for upperclass students who have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Preference will be given to applicants majoring in finance. This scholarship is renewable if GPA is maintained. Winterhalter Scholarship Application is currently closed.

Joy A. Zeiner Scholarship

Must be an accounting major with financial need. Must be in good academic standing. The scholarship is renewable. Zeiner Scholarship Application is currently closed.

Strategic Communication and Media Department

Butler County Tourism Scholarship

This scholarship is sponsored by Butler County Tourism. Applicant must be a Butler County resident and full-time student. The selection committee prefers a student who is employed part-time in tourism or hospitality field however, all Strategic Communication and Media Department students can apply if a Butler County resident. Applicant also needs three letters of support, two of which need to be from SRU Strategic Communication and Media Department Department faculty and a letter of interest indicating why he/she should receive the scholarship. A scholarship application form is also required from applicant.

Nesbit and Dorothy Descutner Communications Scholarship

Applicant must be a current strategic communication and media department student (first preference to an intercultural student). The scholarship is renewable with a minimum 3.0 GPA and/or participation in department related extracurricular activities (The Rocket, radio or television stations, department honoraries). Applicant also needs three letters of support, two of which need to be from SRU Strategic Communication and Media Department faculty, and a letter of interest indicating why he/she should receive the scholarship. A scholarship application form is also required from applicant.

Dickert-Russell Family Scholarship

This scholarship is available to a junior Communication or Education major. Preference is given to someone from Venango County, specifically Franklin.

Robert Leffingwell Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time strategic communication and media major who has completed 64 credit hours. Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA and a 3.25 GPA in major. Applicant also needs three letters of support, two of which need to be from SRU Strategic Communication and Media Department faculty, and a letter of interest indicating why he/she should receive the scholarship. A scholarship application form is also required from applicant.

Butler County Tourism Scholarship

This scholarship is sponsored by the Butler County Tourism. Applicant must be a Butler County resident and full-time student. Preference is given to a student who is employed part-time in the tourism or hosptiality fields; however, all Hospitality, Event Management and Tourism Department students can apply if a Butler County resident.

Harry A. Norton '85 Scholarship

Applicant must be a Hospitality, Event Management and Tourism major. Students must be a sophomore, junior or senior in the fall semester with financial need.

Kenneth M. O'Toole Memorial Scholarship

Available to full-time students majoring in Marketing and who have completed a minimum of 64 credits. Must demonstrate financial need and must have progressively improved his/her academic standing at SRU. Must be a U.S. citizen. O'Toole Scholarship Application is now closed.

MGMK Board of Advisors Annual Scholarship

Available to students pursuing a bachelor's degree in Management or Marketing. Students must submit the following materials to Dr. Diane Galbraith at the School of Business in ECB Room 105: A completed application, A typed letter of interest, including one or more paragraphs describing qualifications for this scholarship, A current resume, and A current "My Rock Audit" showing the applicant's name, GPA, and credits earned.The deadline for this scholarship is March 1. Safety Management

Wilma J. Cavill '52 Endowed Scholarship

Applicant must be a full time student majoring in Safety Management, a Pennsylvania resident, maintain a 3.25 GPA, and have financial need. First preference will be given to a female.

John Garber Memorial Outstanding Senior Safety Management Major Award

Must be a rising senior safety management major with 3.2 cumulative GPA. Essay and resume required regarding service to university, community, and major along with academic achievements.

Parker Hannifin Scholarship

Applicant must be a junior or senior safety management major with 3.00 overall and major QPA. First preference will be given to a safety major who is a member of ASSP which includes WISE and/or AIHA.

AL Puntureri Interstate Chemical Safety Management Scholarship

Applicant must be Safety Management major.

Kyle S. McFeely Safety Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate classroom integrity, innovation, initiative, adaptability, respect and teamwork. Must possess a strong classroom attendance record and positive demeanor in the classroom. Must portray an extremely positive image that represents a future Safety professional. Must be a junior Safety major with financial need entering the senior year.

Jairus j. moore diversity, inclusion and safety scholarship

Applicant must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Safety Management Major with financial need. First preference will be given to a minority student. An essay will be required on "How to create a more diverse work culture."

Daniel M. Renz Safety Scholarship

Applicants must be a full-time junior or senior Safety Management Major. The student must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and write a 250-500 word essay on the topic "why did you choose the Safety Management Major and in what industry(ies) do you have an interest?". The scholarship recipient will be selected by the Safety Management Department Faculty.

Anastasia Urbanik Women's Leadership Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time Safety Management majors. Students must also be rising juniors/seniors for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must be out-of-state residents with a minimum 3.5 GPA. First preference given to females who want a career in construction safety and are involved with extracurricular activities and demonstrates campus leadership.

Vickie Weber '97 Safety Management Scholarship

Applicant must be a sophomore, junior, or senior Safety Management major with financial need. The student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and the student must submit a short essay briefly explaining their financial need.

Vanchure Sisters' Women in Safety Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to rising junior or senior students majoring in Safety Management. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and must participate in AASP Student Safety Chapter or WISE Safety Organization. Preference will be given to females.

School Of Business

Alpha kappa psi alumni scholarship

Applicants must be a brother in good standing with Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity with a minimum 3.5 GPA, demonstrating leadership in community service. The scholarship is non-renewable for students who show financial need preferably entering their senior year. The scholarship will be awarded by the faculty advisor and Executive Board of the AKPSI fraternity. Alpha Kappa Psi Application is currently closed.

The Elizabeth Berkley Scholarship for Business

This scholarship is for students pursuing a degree in business. Preference is given to someone who identifies as a female. Berkley Scholarship Application is currently closed.

Brenda Lee Upperclass Scholarship

Criteria: This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students enrolled at Slippery Rock University and support an upperclass student. Scholarships are to be awarded to full-time students. First preference is an underrepresented minority junior or senior majoring in business with a 3.0 GPA. Recipients will be selected by the college of business. Brenda Lee Scholarship Application is currently closed.

Manocha School of Business Scholarship

The applicant must have an academic major within the School of Business and be enrolled full-time. They must have earned a minimum of 64 credits at SRU and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher. Financial need is also a requirement. The applicant must attach a current MyRockAudit page showing the applicant's name and GPA. Manocha Scholarship Application is currently closed.

Allen McClymonds Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have an academic major in the School of Business with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must demonstrate campus leadership and involvement. This scholarship is renewable through senior year if GPA is maintained and applicant continues in the School of Business. Allen McClymonds Scholarship Application is currently closed.

Dr. James E. Winner, Jr. Family Scholarship

Applicants must have completed or be in the process of completing 50 credits at Slippery Rock University as a full-time student. First preference given to Mercer County residents. Students pursuing a major in business administration will be given first consideration. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 cumulative QPA and meet financial need requirements. The applicant must attach a current MyRockAudit page showing the applicant's name and GPA. By submitting the application, the applicant agrees that, if awarded a scholarship, (s)he will write a thank-you to the scholarship's sponsor. Sport Management

Dr. Robertha abney annual scholarship

This scholarship is for a sophomore, junior, or senior sports management student. First preference is given to a Black or African American student. Second preference will be given to a student of color and third preference will be given to a female student. BERNS SPORT MANAGEMENT VOLUNTEER AWARD

The student must be a sport management major. The recipient will be decided by the Sport Management Department. This scholarship will go to the student with the most hours of volunteer work, which can be reported to Dr. Brian Crow. For further information, contact Dr. Brian Crow at 724.738.2392 or at brian.crow@sru.edu. The scholarship deadline is March 15th.
