SRU’s special education degrees earn national ranking

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Slippery Rock University's bachelor's degrees in special education have been ranked as some of the nation's best by Study.com.

Study.com is an online resource with more than 50,000 guides to help prospective students make important college and career decisions. Rankings were compiled with consideration given to factors including academic and career resources, the quality of education and program faculty.

SRU's Special Education Department offers three undergraduate programs: the special education/early childhood education dual certification, the special education/early childhood international education dual certification, and the transition specialist program.

These programs offer enhanced training to undergraduates in order to prepare students for careers as special education teachers, general education teachers, and school administrators and leaders.
