Our programs are designed to ensure that students develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to succeed in a globally interdependent and technologically sophisticated marketplace. The Sustainable Enterprise Accelerator (SEA) Center at Slippery Rock University provides extensive community outreach through various service-learning projects, and recent renovations to our Strain Safety Management Building have added three state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. We continue to enhance our facilities and curriculum to create the best learning experience possible and are proud of our commitment to students and their preparation for careers in both the public and private sectors.
Our programs also offer exciting opportunities for learning and interaction with faculty outside of the traditional classroom. These Enhanced Learning Opportunities (ELOs) include:

Our faculty are experts within their disciplines and provide students with exceptional instruction. As a result, many of our programs have received special accreditations and certifications. Our School of Business programs are proudly accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a distinction held by fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide.
We are also proud to share that our Sport Management program has been accredited by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA), affirming our commitment to excellence in the field. Additionally, our Safety Management program has been recognized as a Qualified Academic Program (QAP) by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, further validating the quality and relevance of our curriculum.

The mission of the Haverlack College of Business is to offer academic programs that provide opportunities for the personal and professional development of a diverse population, and to prepare individuals for careers in the public and private sectors, as well as for graduate education. These programs are intended to foster the knowledge and skills that are needed in a globally interdependent and technologically sophisticated marketplace.
The primary emphasis lies with our commitment to students. Learning occurs in an applied environment that enhances individual student development through working relationships with a community of scholars dedicated to teaching excellence, scholarship, and service.
Sustainable Enterprise Accelerator
At the Slippery Rock University Sustainable Enterprise Accelerator (SEA), we believe that our future depends on the choices we make today. If we desire to better our lives for ourselves and future generations, we must utilize the power of markets and commerce to make changes.
The University, and hence the college, is accredited by The Middle States Commission on Higher Education Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges.

The School of Business within the Haverlack College of Business is a member and an accredited institution of the world’s largest business education alliance, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). All undergraduate and graduate degree programs offered by the School of Business are AACSB-accredited.
The Sport Management degree program at Slippery Rock University has received specialized accreditation through the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA).
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Safety Management meets the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) requirements as a Qualified Academic Program (QAP).
The Safety Management Major at SRU is an Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) approved degree program.
Accredited and certified programs indicate that these departments have achieved excellence by providing the highest standards in the discipline, based on a rigorous peer review process.
