SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's council of trustees will meet June 7-8. Committee meetings will take place June 7 in Room 320 of the Smith Student Center.

The Governance Committee meeting will take place at 10 a.m., June 8 in Room 320 of the Smith Student Center; and the quarterly business meeting will take place at 11 a.m., June 8 in the Smith Student Center Theatre. All meetings are open to the public.

Agenda items for the June 7 committee meetings include reports from the Academic and Student Affairs Committee, Finance Committee and University Advancement Committee.

The Academic and Student Affairs Committee will meet at 1:15 p.m., June 7 to hear four academic program proposals. These include a Doctor of Education in Education Administration and Organizational Leadership; a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity; a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. All four programs will be seeking approval by the Council for advancement to the State System's Office of the Chancellor.

The Finance Committee will meet at 2:15 p.m., June 7 to 8 to review the audit plan; review the Sightlines facility asset management presentation; and receive updates on the University's budget and master plan. The committee also will review contracts, fixed assets and service and supply purchase orders; the quarterly financial report; a review of the facilities and planning project list; and personnel appointments.

The University Advancement Committee will meet at 3:30 p.m., June 7 to receive a status report from Amir Mohammadi, interim vice president for advancement, regarding the Gail Rose Lodge and a proposed President's Pavilion; and an overview of advancement and foundation operations.

The Governance Committee will meet at 10 a.m., June 8 to discuss the election of officers; review the COT bylaws; and review proposed meetings dates for the 2018-2019 academic year.

At the quarterly business meeting at 11 a.m., Council will view the 2018 SRU Employee Recognition Celebration video, hear the President's Report and receive reports from its standing committees. Action items include the approval of the meeting agenda for the June 8 meeting and minutes from the March 23 quarterly business meeting; and those items forwarded by the committees for action by the full council.
