Sara Tours, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of elementary education and early childhood, was selected by the Consortium for Transatlantic Studies and Scholarships to teach an education course for college students on leadership and advocacy at the University of Alcala in Alcalá de Henares, Spain, for one month in spring 2022. Christine Pease-Hernandez, an SRU assistant professor of communication, is also teaching as part of the program in March 2022 at Alcala after her appointment was delayed a year because of the pandemic. The CTSS is a consortium of colleges and universities around the world that encourages and promotes specialized research and multicultural discussion from a transatlantic perspective for faculty and students to aid their personal, professional and academic development.
