Danette DiMarco, a Slippery Rock University professor of English, and Timothy Ruppert, an assistant professor of English, are co-editors of a soon-to-be released book of scholarly essays titled “Avian Aesthetics in Literature and Culture: Birds and Humans in the Popular Imagination.” Published by Lexington Books, the collection consists of 15 essays from writers around the world and the subject matter intends to close the gap between the ornithological and the humanities.

DiMarco and Ruppert each wrote a chapter in the book, which will be available for purchase in April 2022 on the Rowman & Littlefield website.
