SRU recognized in advertising and marketing awards

Slippery Rock University earned several awards for its advertising and marketing materials produced in 2022. SRU was recognized in the 38th Annual Educational Advertising Awards, the 10th Annual Education Digital Marketing Awards, and the Collegiate Advertising Awards. These are among the largest education advertising and marketing awards in the country with submissions from colleges and universities.
The following submissions from SRU were recognized in the EduAd Awards:
- Film Festival Campaign by Sandy Busch, graphic communication director, earned a Gold Award in the Special Events Materials category.
- Pericles Theatre Poster by Megan Cassioli, assistant director of graphic design, earned a Silver Award in the Poster category.
- Admission Infographic by Cassioli earned a Silver Award in the Online Publications category. · Homecoming Logo by Mason Bell, a senior art major from Venetia, earned a Bronze Award in the Logo/Letterhead Design category.
- Holiday Video Card by Darcy White, director of web communications and development, and Chase Wickerham, assistant director of web communications and development, earned a Merit Award in the Special Video category.
- Sunset Serenade by Cassioli and Bell earned a Merit Award in the Total Fund Raising/Development Campaign category.
- SRU.edu earned a Merit Award in the Website category.
The following submissions from SRU were recognized in the EDM Awards:
- SRU.edu earned a Silver Award in the Institutional Website category.
- Set Yourself Up for Success at SRU (TikTok) earned a Silver Award in the TikTok category.
- Set Yourself Up for Success at SRU (Snapchat) earned a Bronze Awards in the Digital Video Ad category.
The following submission from SRU were recognized in the Collegiate Advertising Awards:
- Sunset Serenade by Cassioli and Bell earned a Gold Award in the Fundraising Campaign category.
- Admission Infographic by Cassioli earned a Gold Award in the Self Promotion – Single category.
- Pericles Theatre Poster by Cassioli earned a Gold Award in the Poster/Display – Single category.
- Palenque Logo by Cassioli earned a Silver Award in the Logos/Trademarks/Mascots category.
All the submission were produced by staff in SRU’s Communication and Public Affairs Office, except for the TikTok and Snapchat submissions, which were produced by the Beyond Spots & Dots advertising agency.
