SRU art majors contribute to Butler art exhibit

Nine Slippery Rock University students recently exhibited artwork at a show called "Different Directions," hosted by the The Associated Artists of Butler County's studio in Butler.
 
The exhibit included both two and three dimensional artwork created with a variety of media, including ceramics, drawing, fiber art, metalsmithing, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.

Participating artists, all of which are Bachelor of Fine Arts majors taking a 300-level Art Seminar class, included:
-Teya Heller, a sophomore from Mayfield.
-Amanda Lyon, a junior from Ambridge.
-Christina Malak, a senior from New Kensington.
-Chloe Matrascia, a junior from Jefferson Hills.
-Nicole McGuirk, a junior from New Wilmington.
-Myah Merhaut, a junior from Gibsonia.
-Zachary Rutter, a senior from West Mifflin.
-Erikka Spaid, a junior from Coalport
-Chelsey Werner, a senior from Slippery Rock
