Young added to U.S. goalball national team

Calahan Young, a 2017 Slippery Rock University graduate with a degree in recreational therapy, has been named to the U.S. men's goalball national team for a second straight year.

Goalball is a sport designed for athletes with visual impairments. Players push a ball that makes a beeping sound into a net.

Young, a native of Irwin, will represent Team USA at the Goalball World Championships, June 3-8 in Malmo, Sweden, which serves as a Team USA's first opportunity to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.
