The Slippery Rock University Center for Community Engagement, Empowerment and Development, known as Butler SUCCEED, received donations of clothing, toiletries and other essential items to fill more than 200 bags as part of its Homeless Bag Project to support people in Butler County experiencing homelessness. This SUCCEED-registered project, founded by Butler community member Stepfanie Armstrong, is in its eighth year. SRU students participated in the collection and the donations, including 22 boxes from the faculty, staff and students in the occupational therapy, physician assistant and physical therapy programs.

Butler SUCCEED engages Butler, the county and University communities in collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships to enhance the quality of life in the region and advance learning, research and civic engagement.
