Junko Yamamoto, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of secondary education/foundations of education, co-authored an article published in the "Pennsylvania Language Forum."

Yamamoto and her co-author, Keith Corbitt of West Chester University, present research about how teacher candidate requirements from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages and the Pennsylvania Department of Education may worsen the teacher shortage in world languages.

PLF is an annual publication from the Pennsylvania State Modern Language Association that features articles on teaching strategies, lesson plans, project ideas and research for world language teachers in Pennsylvania.
