Five Slippery Rock University students recently completed a service project at Reynolds Elementary School in Greenville, helping redesign display boards throughout the school to align with Reynolds' positive behavior intervention program.

The SRU students worked with Mykie Morneweck, a sixth grade teacher at Reynolds, to get an understanding of the school culture before developing the boards and returning to the school to build them.

The SRU students included:

  • Elizabeth Stewart, a graduate student from Chicora.
  • Hannah Strengari, a senior early childhood/special education major from Butler.
  • Kierstie Mapes, a senior early childhood/special education major from Lamartine.
  • Jackelyn Bracken, a senior early childhood/special education major from Ebensburg.
  • Haley Woodward, a senior early childhood/special education major from DuBois.
