Keshia Booker, Slippery Rock University assistant director of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, has been selected for Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education’s inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Keepers of the Flame Award.

This award recognizes the contributions of State System employees, students, alumni and community members who epitomize the promise of diversity, equity and inclusion. SRU selected Booker to receive this award as a “foundation builder” because of her contribution to the solid foundation that undergirds and inspires enduring DEI work at the University and beyond.

The State System and its universities honored recipients of Keepers of the Flame Award during the virtual 2022 DEI Summit, Nov. 4.
