Three Slippery Rock University students were recently recognized at the Resort and Commercial Recreation Association's national conference.

Natalie Glenn, a senior resort, recreation and hospitality management major from Clarion, was awarded the RCRA’s Outstanding Student Award, which honors an RCRA student or intern who has worked to make a positive contribution to the RCRA, their property or university.

Allison Manning, a sophomore resort, recreation and hospitality management major from Saint Marys, and Carriebell Sampson, a junior dual criminology and criminal justice and resort, recreation and hospitality management major from Pittsburgh, were each awarded RCRA Student Scholarships. Manning and Sampson where two of three scholarship recipients of the program, which provides emerging professional members with formal RCRA administrative experience and the opportunity to support the RCRA board of directors in hosting the national conference.

The RCRA is a national membership organization that serves educators, professionals, students and vendors from the recreation industry.
