Public Health and Social Work
The Master of Public Health (MPH) is a 42-credit program that offers two specific concentrations: Health Promotion and Wellness and Environmental and Occupational Health. The 100% online program is practitioner-based, and the curriculum is designed to meet the increasing demand in the Public Health workforce. We prepare students for 21st century careers in Public Health and address Public Health challenges of this generation such as obesity, infectious diseases, illicit drug abuse, environmental pollution associated-diseases, climate change, and occupational health and safety.
Slippery Rock University's (SRU) Master of Social Work (MSW) is a 60-credit program or 39 credits if you hold a BSW degree. Built on the foundation of SRU's successful Bachelor of Social Work, the program nurtures the passion to help others while providing rigorous academic courses that enable students to translate their passion into best practices. The program is designed in response to growing need for trained social workers, and to meet the requirements of the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE).
