Slippery Rock University is committed to maintaining uninterrupted classes, student services, and campus operations and remains open during inclement weather with no changes to class schedules, staffing or services unless the University explicitly announces a weather-related delay or closure.
If severe weather creates unsafe conditions for students or employees that requires a change to operations, the University will issue a notice of a modified schedule or campus closure via RockAlerts.
SRU encourages students, faculty, and staff to be careful and allow for extra time when traveling during inclement or hazardous weather. Always exercise extreme caution when outdoors, being mindful of slippery conditions and falling branches and/or debris, as well as winter service vehicles and crews as they clear and treat walkways and roadways.
