Slippery Rock University has entered an exclusive relationship with BSN Sports for employees’ purchasing needs related to wearable apparel, athletics gear, and sports/exercise equipment. BSN offers a wide range of greatly discounted premiums and products from global brands, effectively streamlining the purchase and procurement of high-quality items. This contract replaces the previous agreement with Sports Locker.
What does this mean?
Departments and other campus units that are ordering wearable apparel must obtain a quote from BSN according to the terms of the University’s contracted agreement. Wearable apparel includes any wearable items, including but not limited to shirts, pants, hoodies, hats, ties, socks, etc.
In the rare instance when BSN cannot provide the desired item, or a competing licensed vendor provides a lower unit or total cost, the purchase does not need to go through BSN. A comparison quote from BSN should be attached to the SourcePoint purchase request, direct payment request or P-card transaction.
