Tori Kapopoulos is the Assistant Director for Bonner/Butler Initiatives. She aims to grow the SRU Bonner Program to build a strong connection between the University, local communities, and Bonner Leaders to encourage shared knowledge, expertise, and growth for individuals and communities. Tori is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she earned a B.A. in Environmental Geography with minors in Anthropology and Psychology. She then went on to earn a Master’s degree in Sustainability from Chatham University’s at the Eden Hall Campus in Gibsonia, PA. During her graduate assistantship at Chatham, she gained experience in community engagement through work with Pittsburgh non-profits, government, and universities. After graduation, Tori worked for a non-profit organization aiming to monitor water quality in western Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia. Prior to arriving at SRU, she worked in local government managing federal, state and local grants aimed at increasing resources for communities to meet municipal goals. Tori hopes to grow the Bonner Program, making it a desired opportunity for incoming first-year students and a rewarding experience for those students who participate, empowering them to make positive changes in their personal lives and communities. My name is Carlene Murray, and I am so excited to be the Bonner graduate assistant for the 2022-2023 school year! I am a first-year graduate student here a Slippery Rock University earning my master’s in school counseling. I received my undergraduate degree from Kent State university with a major in psychology and minor in sociology. I grew up and still live in my hometown, Mercer, PA. Some of my favorite hobbies include exercising, traveling, and reading. I am thrilled to be working closely and getting to know the Bonner leaders as well as the rest of the OCEL staff.
Hanna Ruland
Senior Bonner Intern
Hanna Ruland is a Biology major with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences. Hanna loves to spend time outside, and is passionate about access to healthcare and education. Hanna chose to be a Bonner because of the valuable opportunity the program provides to students to continue in service while actively learning more about acceptance, inclusivitity, and leadership - lessons that they can carry with them, and apply, throughout the rest of their lives.
Jaeden Chapman
Bonner Intern
Jaeden Chapman is a Secondary English Education Major, and he plans on teaching English for 7-12th grade. His favorite pastimes are spending time with his friends, streaming tv shows and movies, playing video games, writing, and reading. He has a passion for racial/gender/religious equality and equity for all individuals. Jaeden chose to be a Bonner because he saw himself in the values that this program holds, such as social justice and diversity.
Michaela Quiggle

Michaela is a Biology major with a minor in Healthcare Administration and Management and a concentration in Pre-Medicine. Michaela loves to read and spend time with her family. She has a passion for food security and access to healthcare. Michaela chose to be a Bonner in order to promote civic identity by actively engaging in service-learning experiences, not only on campus, but also in her community
