Information Systems (IS) is an area critical to the success of many different businesses. Because all organizations need management and support in this area, the career opportunities are almost endless. Information Systems is a combination of technology and business environment. As an IS professional, you’ll be the bridge between the technical and management departments and personnel within a company.
Why Choose an Information Systems Degree?
- Small Lab and Class Sizes
Labs are capped at 35 students with an average class size of 25, providing students a more individualized classroom experience. - Experienced Faculty
Students are taught by full-time faculty only. These faculty bring real-life examples, research and/or industry experience to enhance the learning experience. - Support and Guidance
Every student is assigned an academic adviser to guide each of them through their program of study and help them make decisions about educational and career goals. - Accredited Program
This program is accredited by AACSB. It includes several business courses but is more technical and allows you to easily add a minor or choose more electives in the area of your choice.
Information Systems, Bachelor of Science (BS)
Provides students with essential business knowledge, practical experience, and programming skills. This program prepares graduates for a variety of roles by focusing on the technology needs of modern businesses, especially in the healthcare and technology sectors. In addition to preparing students for entry-level positions, the curriculum's liberal arts foundation also provides the necessary background for future graduate studies.
