All undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the School of Business are now accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools and the largest business education network connecting students, educators and businesses worldwide. Only 5% of the world’s business degree programs are accredited by AACSB including 881 institutions across 57 countries and territories. SRU’s School of Business became the seventh business school within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education to earn this distinction.

The School of Business programs are offered in three departments that provide eight undergraduate majors, eleven minors, an accounting certificate and three graduate degrees. Among the many accomplishments of the School of Business since it was established in 1980, several include an outstanding faculty with both business and academic experience, a commitment to experiential learning opportunities through internships, field-based business consulting and study abroad programs, and numerous student organizations that have earned competition awards and national recognition. The School of Business is a catalyst for regional economic development through its outreach and community partnerships.

The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is a leading specialized accreditation body for business education supporting, celebrating, and rewarding teaching excellence. The association embraces the virtues of teaching excellence and emphasizes to students that it is essential to learn. All majors within the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree program are ACBSP accredited.
